Tips When Visiting a Display Homes
Check the Inclusions: Ask the new home consultant about what in the home is a standard inclusion. Features like landscaping, pools and many of the fixtures will either not be standard or not be covered by any quoted price.
Display Homes are there to sell houses: Builders build display homes as a means of advertising and for selling homes. There’s nothing wrong with this, but it’s important you’re aware of this during your visit.
Research beforehand: Like you wouldn’t go into a job interview without looking up your potential employer, you should do some research about the builder whose display homes you’re about to visit. Have some questions to ask the home consultants to get some data you might not be able to get online. Researching display homes in your area will also help make sure you visit display homes that might be useful to you and avoid ones that will only waste time.
Check opening hours: Opening times for display homes aren’t universal and will vary from builder to builder. Some you’ll need to make an appointment whereas others have regular viewing hours on certain days of the week.
Display Homes aren’t the be-all end-all: While display homes can be great for inspiration or as a way to discover a builder’s quality, they’ll only be so useful to others, if at all. If you don’t want to visit a display home, that’s okay. Display homes aren’t an essential step in the building experience, and can be just a detour to some.
Land packages
To give a perfect example of how in-demand land in estates is, the most recent land release at Capestone in May 2022, included 25 lots. All sold in less than two hours! The sizes were between to 320m2 to 450m2 and prices were between started at $520,000, and for the limited number of lots featuring extensive lake views, went up to $750,000

Is North Lakes the right area for me?
North Lakes is a great middle area from a lot of different areas. Whether you want to visit the beaches of Redcliffe, the bushland of Petrie, the local parks, or the Westfield Shopping centre, all of this and more are within a 20-minute drive. It’s a nice midway point between the Brisbane CBD and the Sunshine Coast with a family-friendly vibe.
