The Moreton Bay Region is one of the fastest-growing and most popular in South East Queensland. Within easy reach of the beach and a good halfway point between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, people decide to build their new home here for the beaches and easy access to city life. This Newport Display Homes review is for anyone looking to buy in the Moreton Bay region.

Newport Estate by Stockland is located on the Redcliffe Peninsula and is 38 km from Brisbane. When completed, the area will be home to 5,000 residents. With various features such as waterfront living and parks being heavily promoted, it’s easy to see why properties are being snapped up.

In this Newport Display Homes Review, we’re going to look at what homes you can visit in the Newport Display Centre, and weigh up the pros and cons of moving to the estate.

Newport display home Plans, Style & Design Overview

You have a few options at Newport. You can buy:

  • a townhouse.
  • house and land package.
  • land only.
  • a retirement living apartment.

Due to the land being on the smaller side, the display homes you can visit in Newport make the most of the limited room and tend to be designed for a family. This is a pretty common approach for Estates. In terms of house area, the display homes range from 200m2 to 401m2.

While the Stockland website didn’t have any prices at the time of writing, we’ve found that prices for land vary drastically depending on size and location. An entry-level property can cost as little as $249,000. The beautiful waterfront properties that are in all the pictures? That land can range between $445,000 to $1,330,000. The plus side of this is that there is a wide range of options for a new home, regardless of your budget, just not all of them make the website’s homepage.

Newport does offer house and land packages, however, these are currently unavailable. If you want to know when the next land release is, you can register your interest at their website.

Is Newport Display Centre the right area for me?

Newport promotes a beach lifestyle with a focus on family and community. Before visiting the display village, consider the following:

Pros:

  • Within easy reach of the beach. There are also parks and other facilities perfect for families.
  • Close to Redcliffe and therefore shopping centres, schools, etc.
  • Close to North Lakes, and a reasonable drive to the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane CBD.

Cons:

  • There is high demand. In the process to secure land, you have to go through a few steps with a bit of luck involved. It’s pretty easy to miss out, even if you follow these steps correctly.
  • Once you are approved, you are expected to put a deposit down to secure a spot ASAP.
  • Land can be expensive, especially for the much-advertised waterfront properties. The very best land reportedly costs over $1M, and even cheaper land is still pricey.
